倫敦的Boots藥妝店因為一款抗皺保養乳液，幾乎要被消費者淹沒了。
在英國，被愛美女士看成是保養品中最新聖品的，是寶鹼生產的Boots七號抗皺乳液；昨天Boots鋪貨，營業時間還沒到，店門口就已經大排長龍；開門營業後，消費者一湧而入，貨品幾分鐘就被搶光。為了避免民眾囤積居奇， Boots實施限量政策，一人只能買一瓶；不過沒有多久，就有人上eBay網站上拍賣，三十毫升裝、定價17英鎊的一瓶乳液，喊價到75英鎊，將近台幣五千元。
這款抗皺乳液火紅的原因，是因為BBC一個節目說它確實有抗皺的神效。Boots自己說，這瓶抗皺乳液只要使用四個禮拜，就可以讓人看起來明顯變年輕。這個產品已經上市兩年，平均每個月銷售一萬瓶，不過在 BBC節目播出之後銷量暴增，Boots說，過去三天，它們就賣掉了21個星期的存貨量。

The cosmetics market is reeling under a new craze. The No 7 Protect & Perfect Serum, manufactured by Boots, has been cleaned out of cosmetics shelves in shops after it was featured in BBC's Horizon and more customers are queuing up for the product. According to reports, this product is as effective as certain prescription products to rejuvenate skin. Horizon featured Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, St Mary's Hospital, London, Lesley Regan and her research on this product.
Benefits of Boots anti-wrinkle serum
a. It contains peptides and white lupin extract.
b. It reduces collagen degeneration by the enzymes matrix metalloproteinases.
